The operator of the Da Lat-Trai Mat rail route in Da Lat City, which is the capital of Lam Dong Province in Vietnam’s Central Highlands region, will offer train cars for rent for conferences, wedding parties, and other celebrations from now on.
Saigon Railway Transport JSC launched the service on Thursday as part of its ongoing program to serve visitors to the iconic Da Lat railway station, with the goal of celebrating the 130th anniversary of the city’s establishment and development.
The railway company also provides free-of-charge Wi-Fi, drinking water, and photography services on the train.
During the trial period of the program, the music performances and wedding parties hosted on the train this month have garnered considerable attention from visitors.
These unique events appear to have successfully captured the interest and enthusiasm of those experiencing the innovative offerings provided by the program.
On December 22, the company added a festive touch by decorating a 21m-long railway car, transforming it into a charming setting for a wedding ceremony.
In related news, the company said it had sold 136,000 train tickets for rides scheduled for the 2024 Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, due in February.
Tickets for the pre- and post-Tet trips are still available for all rail routes, the company noted.
