Police in Quang Nam Province, central Vietnam teamed up with forces of the Ministry of Public Security to capture a Chinese man who is wanted by China’s Ministry of Public Security on Friday.

A police officer of the province said on Sunday that the man was caught while he was staying at a house in the locality.

The provincial immigration management division worked with the Criminal Police Department under the ministry and police in Dien Ngoc Ward in Dien Ban Town examined a house on Friday night, finding Fan Chao, 39, dwelling in this residence.

Fan Chao had previously been charged with economic and environmental crimes in China.

He was placed on China’s list of wanted fugitives.

Besides, after checking his passport, the police discovered that his temporary residence in Vietnam expired.

The Vietnamese side is working to extradite the fugitive to the Chinese Ministry of Public Security.
