Hanoi woke up to a thick blanket of fog and light drizzle on Monday morning, severely limiting visibility for commuters.
The capital city and many northeastern provinces are forecast to experience light rain and mist in the morning and evening, according to the national weather center.
The temperature is expected to range between 16 and 23 degrees Celsius on Monday.
Thick fog, paired with light drizzle, enveloped the entire city, resulting in low visibility.
In particular, many buildings were barely visible through the thick mist.

The weather pattern of light rain and fog will likely persist in Hanoi and the northeastern region until Thursday or Friday, according to the center.
The increased humidity from the ongoing drizzle and fog raised concerns about the potential onset of damp, humid weather in the coming days.
The northern region might be hit by a cold front, scattered showers, and thunderstorms on the weekend.
