Police in Hanoi have detained a driver for driving a passenger car while another man was clinging to the car hood following their dispute, which stemmed from a traffic collision.

At about 7:30 am on March 8, the passenger car, driven by Tran Manh Cuong, residing in northern Son La Province, collided with a motorcycle ridden by T.T.H., living in Hanoi, on Pham Hung Street near the intersection with Thang Long Boulevard.

After the collision, the two sides could not agree on how to resolve the situation. While waiting for authorities to arrive, a conflict between them escalated.

Cuong then drove his vehicle toward Thang Long Boulevard.

The driver of the passenger car was detained for driving the vehicle while another man was clinging to the car hood.

Standing at the front of the passenger car, H. climbed onto the hood and clung tightly to the windshield wipers.

Cuong continued driving along Thang Long Boulevard before stopping to allow H. to get off.

Following the incident, neither of them reported it to police and left the scene.

A passer-by recorded the incident and shared it on social media.

Many people expressed concern over the dangerous actions of both men.
