Traffic police in Da Nang City, central Vietnam said on Tuesday that they had fined the owners of eight supercars and three sport motorbikes a total of VND167 million (US$6,538) for running a red light and temporarily seized the driver’s licenses of 11 individuals.
The eight supercars and three sport motorbikes involved in the traffic violation were identified as belonging to H.K.K. and his wife, who own a beauty care company.
On Sunday, the convoy departed from Da Nang International Airport and traveled along Nguyen Van Linh Street.
While other vehicles stopped at the red light at the Phan Chau Trinh Street intersection, K.'s supercars and sport motorbikes ran the red light.
A video later surfaced on TikTok, showing the group’s violations.
The supercar and sport motorbike procession was part of the celebration of the third founding anniversary of K.’s company in Da Nang.

Following the incident, Lieutenant Colonel Phan Van Thuong, head of the Da Nang traffic police unit, held a meeting on Monday afternoon with K., the event organizers, and the 11 drivers involved.
As K. admitted to the violations and pledged to prevent such incidents in the future, the Da Nang traffic police imposed a total fine of VND167 million and temporarily seized the driver’s licenses of the 11 drivers.
