Van Nistelrooy to talk to fans in Vietnam next month

Former Dutch international Ruud van Nistelrooy will have a talk with fans in Ho Chi Minh City on April 3 on the occasion of his visit to Vietnam together with the UEFA Champions League trophy.

Tuoi Tre newspaper will organize this event at 3:00 pm at Bitexco Tower at 2 Hai Trieu Street, District 1, with questions and answers being reported at tuoitre.vn and aired at tv.tuoitre.vn.

During the talk, Van Nistelrooy will draw lots to select three lucky fans to win three free trips to Europe.

One of the winners will travel to Lisbon in Portugal to watch the final match of the 2013-2014 Champions League on May 24 and the other two will fly to Ibiza in Spain to watch the game via a big screen and participate in a music festival.

Van Nistelrooy will carry the UEFA Champions League trophy with him on his visit to Ho Chi Minh City from April 3 to 5.

The UEFA Champions League trophy is scheduled to be brought to three countries this year: Argentina, Nigeria, and Vietnam.

The tour of the trophy in Vietnam is part of the ‘Road to The Final’ campaign launched by Heineken to grant 20,000 tickets to fans across the world to watch the UEFA Champions League finale in the 2013- 2014 season.

The league is the most popular football tournament in the world, with almost four billion people across 220 nations watching it every season.

During his international competition career, Nistelrooy played 70 matches for the Dutch national football team and scored 35 goals.
