The Vietnamese national futsal team finished the group stage with a 3-0 win over Myanmar in the ASEAN Football Federation HDBank Futsal Championship 2017 in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday.
Despite deploying their pressing tactics right from the start, Vietnam were faced with resilient defense from the opposing side and could only find a breakthrough with seven minutes to half-time thanks to Trong Luan’s opener.
Power-play strategy saw all the five Myanmar players looking for an equalizer with dominance, but proved costly as Ngoc Son and goalkeeper Nguyen Van Huy scored with less than 19 seconds on the clock.
