A collection of wild bird photos, taken by photographer Vo Rin over the past few years, are on display at a paddy field in suburban Hoi An City, a popular tourist destination in central Quang Nam Province, with an aim at raising public awareness about environmental protection.
Through this photo exhibition, the photographer wanted to honor the beauty of wild birds and call on people to stop the practices of releasing, hunting, slaughtering, and eating animals, or keeping them in captivity.
When Rin introduced his idea of organizing this wildlife photo exhibition, he got the green light from the owner of Chillax Hoi An, a restaurant nestled amid a paddy field in the city, to hold the show at the field.
Taking place from September 15 to 23, the exhibit features 50 photos of various wild birds found in central Vietnam, with nearly 30 taken at rice fields and rivers in Hoi An.
Visitors to the show will also see some photos of wild birds being trapped, hunted for food, and released.
This is the second year that the photo exhibit under the same theme of wild birds has been held.
The show is supported by the Vietnam Bird Conservation Society.
