Baekhyun, a member of the renowned K-pop boy group EXO, wrapped up his two-day schedule in Ho Chi Minh City for his solo Asia tour titled ‘Lonsdaleite’ on Sunday with a plethora of warm emotions.
The ‘Lonsdaleite’ tour, initially scheduled for one night, sold out in just over an hour, marking an impressive feat for a solo K-pop artist performing in Vietnam for the first time and prompting an expansion.
Consequently, an extra concert was added for Sunday evening to meet the overwhelming demand.
On the second night of his tour at Phu Tho Sports Hall in Ho Chi Minh City, Baekhyun delivered a captivating performance featuring 20 songs spanning various styles.
Returning to Vietnam nine years after the Music Bank event in Hanoi, Baekhyun expressed deep gratitude for the meaningful and emotionally charged tour.
Despite being an additional show, the Vietnamese EXO fan community, V-Eri, eagerly anticipated and warmly welcomed Sunday’s event, filling the stands with enthusiastic fans.

Baekhyun began the concert with EXO classics like ‘Diamond’ and ‘Playboy,’ before transitioning to his signature versatility with hits like ‘Candy,’ ‘Cry For Love,’ and ‘Love Again’ during its two-hour run time.
The ‘Lonsdaleite’ concert symbolized the South Korean singer’s evolution as an independent artist, marking a new chapter in his career after debuting with EXO, developing in a sub-unit with two EXO members Xiumin and Chen, and venturing into solo endeavors.
Expressing gratitude and apologies for the long wait for his second appearance in Vietnam, Baekhyun delivered heartfelt messages in South Korean and Vietnamese.
“Thanks to everyone, I’m very happy today,” he said in South Korean.
“May this moment stay etched in our hearts, radiating warmth and joy.”
The singer also promised more memorable encounters in the future, both solo and with EXO members.

The ‘Lonsdaleite’ tour marks the first-ever solo in-person tour for Baekhyun since his debut as the main vocalist in EXO in 2012 under SM Entertainment, as reported by South Korean news outlet Xportsnews.
In 2019, he held the ‘Light’ show virtually due to COVID-19.
At 32, Baekhyun becomes one of South Korea’s youngest singers to stage a solo concert at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, a renowned indoor arena situated within the Olympic Park.
Besides Seoul and Ho Chi Minh City, his planned Asia tour includes Tokyo, Fukuoka, Kobe, and Sendai in Japan, Singapore, Manila in the Philippines, Taipei in Taiwan, Jakarta in Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Bangkok in Thailand.

In early January, Baekhyun announced the establishment of the record label and entertainment company INB100 and signed a contract with Chen and Xiumin.
Last June, the trio sued SM Entertainment for ‘unjust’ long-term exclusive contracts, though after a period of settlement, they canceled the lawsuit and transitioned to the new company while remaining in EXO.
EXO initially debuted in 2012 with 12 members, some of whom departed over the years, leaving the group with nine members currently.
