Da Lat, a famed city in Vietnam’s Central Highlands, secured three major awards at the Asia Festival City Awards 2025, further cementing its status as one of Asia’s leading cultural and eco-friendly destinations.
In an announcement made from South Korea on Thursday evening, Nguyen Van Son, deputy chairman of the Da Lat administration, confirmed that the city’s recent Flower Festival received two Asia Festival City Awards at the Global Festival Summit 2025 in Gyeongju, South Korea.
One of the awards, ‘Asia Flower and Garden Festival of 2025,’ recognizes the festival’s vibrant floral displays and horticultural excellence, while the other, the ‘Asia Pinnacle,’ highlights its outstanding event organization, cultural significance, and role in promoting local traditions.
Additionally, at the event, Da Lat received the 'Best Flower and Garden Festival' award from the International Festivals & Events Association - Asia (IFEA Asia) for its outstanding floral displays and horticultural excellence.
This is the second consecutive year Da Lat has been honored at the Asia Festival City Awards. In 2024, the city’s renowned flower festival won the title of 'Best Flower and Garden Festival,' while Da Lat was named one of Asia’s top five most impressive festival cities.
In a letter addressed to the city’s leadership, the Asia Festival City Awards praised Da Lat’s sustained efforts to build a green, friendly, and sustainable image while using the Flower Festival as a cornerstone of cultural and tourism promotion.
Since 2005, Da Lat, the capital city of Lam Dong Province, has hosted the Flower Festival ten times, with each edition carrying a unique message and contributing to shaping Da Lat as Vietnam’s flower festival city, according to the Vietnam News Agency.
Located approximately 1,479 kilometers south of Hanoi and 275 kilometers north of Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat has become a destination for both domestic and international travelers.
Often referred to as the city of eternal spring, Da Lat draws visitors year-round with its cool climate, rolling pine forests, and striking natural beauty.
Popular attractions include Xuan Huong Lake, the Valley of Love, Datanla and Prenn waterfalls, Linh Phuoc Pagoda, Truc Lam Zen Monastery, Langbiang Peak, and the whimsical Crazy House.
