Vietnam's north-central, coastal province of Quang Binh is home to an extensive cave system, the enormousness and splendor of which have gained enthralled adventure seekers from all over the world.

For a five-day-four-night tour, visitors are able to explore three caves within the system: Tien 1, Tien 2, and Cha Loi.

Treading the surface of Quang Binh during the summer might prove a challenge under the Foehn effect, a meteorological phenomenon caused by hot, dry air rushing down mountain ranges to low-lying areas.

The heat, however, would significantly drop to 20 degrees Celcius or lower as visitors descend into the cavern.

Since the journey would involve rock climbing, passing through narrow rifts that only fit one person, or swimming through small streams, the optimal photography gear to ferry into this depth is one camera with a wide-angle lens.

The struggles on the journey will eventually make way for the thrilling sensation inflicted by the ever-changing, rugged landforms.

From the start till the very last minute, the journey is sequenced with back-to-back climbing and descending action.

At the end of the tunnel, shafts of daylight reveal a magnificent arched structure, a gateway that reminds visitors how frail and transient human beings are in juxtaposition with the force of nature.
