Welcoming He and leaders of COMAC on their working trip to Vietnam, coinciding with Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping's state visit to Vietnam, PM Chinh said that during the top Chinese leader’s ongoing visit to Vietnam, the two sides would discuss many important issues for the future development of the two countries and their relations, and sign many important documents, including those in aviation cooperation.

He emphasized that Vietnam always encourages major enterprises, representing China's high levels of science and technology, to invest in new projects and expand investments in road, railway, and aviation infrastructure in Vietnam.

The Vietnamese government and relevant ministries and agencies are willing to facilitate airlines organizing and exploiting air routes between Vietnam and other countries, contributing to trade, tourism, and socio-economic development.

Welcoming and highly appreciating the effective cooperation between COMAC and Vietnam’s budget carrier Vietjet Air, the prime minister said that this partnership holds great potential for further development and expands the cooperation between COMAC and other Vietnamese airlines and partners in the future.

He called on COMAC to partner with Vietnamese firms to manufacture aircraft components, assemble aircraft, develop the aviation ecosystem and the aviation economy, train high-quality human resources, explore Vietnam’s outer space potential, invest in aircraft maintenance and repair centers in Vietnam, contributing to the substantive and effective development of Vietnam–China relations.

In response, COMAC chairman He highly appreciated the Vietnamese prime minister’s important contributions to fostering the Vietnam-China relationship and facilitating COMAC's relations with Vietnamese partners.

He believes that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Southeast Asian nation will develop strongly.

Sharing about COMAC’s formation and development process, He said that after 17 years, COMAC has become a major aircraft manufacturer.

He affirmed that COMAC will strengthen cooperation with Vietnamese partners in line with PM Chinh’s suggestions.

The COMAC leader expressed his hope that PM Chinh would continue to pay close attention, provide support, and guide Vietnamese partners in expanding cooperation with COMAC, in not only air transport but also the aviation sector in Vietnam.
