Vietnamese songwriter Quoc Bao, via his oratorio Lua (Silk), has established the Quoc Bao Foundation which aims to raise funds to support child cancer patients at Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital.

Besides MC Nguyen Minh who played as the storyteller, other artists including singer Ho Trung Dung, Ha Anh Tuan, Dong Lan, Phuong Linh, Nguyen Ha and veteran actor Thanh Loc performed 20 songs.

The two main roles were played by Phuong Linh (as Helene) and Ho Trung Dung (as Herve Joncour).

Inspired by Lua (Silk), Quoc Bao spent more than 5 months writing the oratorio as he wanted to tell the story using music.

Lua (Silk) is a masterpiece written by Alessandro Baricco and was published in 1996. The book has been translated into more than 20 languages. In Vietnam, it was printed by Tre Publishing House in 2000 and Literature Publishing House in 2007.
