Vietnam’s coffee, rice, noodles featured at food & beverage expo in Singapore

The event runs until Friday, attracting over 1,500 participants from across the globe.

The exhibitors include distributors, importers, manufacturers, and renowned brands from more than 50 countries and territories worldwide.

Featured at the expo, Vietnam’s pavilion is presenting a special display of typical products from 52 prominent local firms active in the food and beverage sector, drawing considerable attention from visitors.

This trade promotion program was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center and the city’s Department of Industry and Trade, under the direction of the municipal People’s Committee.

The participating companies are offering a variety of key food and beverage products, including processed and dried agricultural products, coffee, milk, fruit juices, rice, noodles, pho, and spices.

All of these products meet green and sustainable production standards and international certifications such as ISO, Halal, and Global GAP.

In addition to product displays, the Vietnamese pavilion is treating visitors to multiple interactive activities, including product tastings and coffee brewing demonstrations, and an introduction to the unique characteristics of Vietnamese coffee.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, the city is also hosting a trade delegation to facilitate business matchmaking with international buyers.

A business matchmaking event was set to take place on Wednesday and Thursday, acting as a bridge between Vietnamese firms and Singaporean and international buyers, importers and distributors.

The initiative was expected to present an excellent opportunity for Vietnamese companies to promote their products and services, build partnerships, and establish connections with international trade networks.

It was also aimed at helping businesses explore new export markets, especially in light of the global economic uncertainties and the new tariffs imposed by the United States, which have affected Vietnam’s export strategies.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Tran Phuoc Anh told the Vietnam News Agency that the participation of over 50 Vietnamese firms in the expo came at a timely and crucial moment.

He highlighted that the Vietnam-Singapore relationship is currently at its best, particularly after the upgrade to a comprehensive strategic partnership in mid-March.

Amid global economic challenges, with the U.S. imposing retaliatory tariffs, the need to diversify and seek new markets is urgent.

Through the exhibition, Vietnamese companies could demonstrate their readiness for international integration and strengthen their global presence.

The ambassador expressed his commitment to supporting Vietnamese enterprises in expanding their market reach and securing a stronger foothold in the international market.
