In the 2025 World Airport Awards, Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport ranked 79th in 2025, up from 96th in 2024 and 127th in 2023.
Da Nang International Airport also rose to 84th, compared to 94th and 111th in the previous two years.
In a notable regional achievement, Da Nang was also ranked ninth in Skytrax's Best Regional Airports in Asia 2025 category.

The awards, presented by UK-based aviation consultancy Skytrax, are based on passenger surveys and cover over 500 airports worldwide.
The consistent rise in rankings of both Vietnamese airports suggests progress in areas Skytrax typically evaluates, such as cleanliness, efficiency, and customer service.
However, both airports still remain outside the global top tier, which continues to be dominated by larger, more established hubs in Asia and the Middle East.

Changi named World’s Best Airport for 13th time
Singapore’s Changi Airport was once again named the world’s best, marking its 13th win in the Skytrax rankings.
Widely regarded as a destination in itself, Changi offers facilities such as a spa, hotel, art exhibitions, a cinema, and even a dinosaur-themed park.
The airport recently launched a service allowing passengers to check in their luggage up to 48 hours before departure.
Changi also swept other major categories, including World’s Best Airport Dining, Best Airport in Asia, and Best Airport Toilets.
The awards ceremony was held on Wednesday in Madrid.

Asia continues to dominate
Airports across Asia continue to lead the rankings.
Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, placed second overall and won Best Airport Shopping and Best Airport in the Middle East.
Tokyo Haneda was third and recognized as the world’s cleanest airport, while Incheon of South Korea, Narita of Japan, and Hong Kong International also made the top six.
The Skytrax survey underlined Asia’s dominance in global aviation standards, with European and North American airports trailing behind.
Paris Charles de Gaulle was the highest-ranked European airport at seventh and retained the title of Best Airport in Europe for the third consecutive year.
Only one airport in the Americas – Vancouver International – made the top 20, ranking 13th.
Meanwhile, Cape Town was named Africa’s Best Airport, though it fell short of the top 20 globally.
