-- The Draft Law on Public Investment and Public Spending will not be up for discussion at the fourth session of the 13th National Assembly, scheduled to begin later this month, according to a decision by Assembly's Standing Committee on Tuesday.

-- Viet Nam would stand side-by-side with the UN Educational and Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in facing the difficulties of a changing world, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Thanh Son said in Paris on Monday.

Eyewitnesses said the man was attempting to dodge a delivery tricycle when his motorbike crashed into a van traveling in the opposite direction.

-- At least eight villagers of the Dong Phuoc and Ngoc Phuoc hamlets in the central province of Phu Yen have won the 1st prize of the local lottery tickets. The lottery organizers said the villagers have 30 winning tickets, equaling to a combined cash prize of VND3.75 billion, or roughly $180,000.
