An exhibition featuring female figures through paper works is being held in Ho Chi Minh City.
Titled “Venus in Vietnam,” the event held by Goethe Institut showcases works by Hanoian contemporary artists Vu Dan Tan and Nguyen Nghia Cuong.
The exhibition, curated by Southeast Asian contemporary art specialist Iola Lenzi, features works which are not very popular in Vietnam: suitcases made from cardboard and miniatures of female figures in glass-lidded cigarette boxes.
“Venus in Vietnam” is running at the Museum of Fine Arts at 97A Pho Duc Chinh Street in District 1 until January 24. Admission is free.
Last year, the exhibition was held in Hanoi.
