The PM affirmed that Vietnam always makes every effort together with other countries and international organizations to strengthen cooperation and build strategic trust for conflict prevention and settlement of differences for the sake of peace and the interests of every nation in the world. Over the past 68 years, mutually-beneficial friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and global countries and organizations has been developed and expanded well. Vietnam, alongside other member nations, is actively contributing to the building the ASEAN Community -- a common house of the Southeast Asian nations, maintaining regional cooperative mechanisms like the East Asia Summit, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, and the ASEAN Regional Forum, the PM said.

The host said he believes on the back of sincere trust and warm feeling, constructive spirit and respect of mutual interests, all nations will overcome challenges to build a world of peace, friendship, stability, development and prosperity.

PM Dung also said Vietnam hopes to cement and deepen the relations with all countries, regional and international organizations.

“With sincere friendship, strategic trust, constructive spirit and respect for each other’s interest, we will together overcome all difficulties and challenges for a world of peace, stability and prosperous development”, the PM said.

PM Dung also expressed his hope that ambassadors and diplomats in Vietnam will uphold their role for friendship between Vietnam and other countries all over the world.

Speaking at the banquet, Venezuelan Ambassador to Vietnam Jorge Rondon Ucategui, acting head of the diplomatic corp, said he believes Vietnam will gain greater achievements to become an industrialized and prosperous nation in 2020.

Vietnam attained a remarkable enviable GDP increase, at 5.03 percent, achieving a positive deficit in its trade balance, controlling the inflation rate and progress in the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals, the ambassador said.
