Around 100 poor students of Tran Dai Nghia High School in the central province of Quang Nam have been given free lunch since 2012 thanks to the contribution of their teachers and other sponsors.
All students from families that are listed as ‘poor’ by local authorities and reside more than 10 kilometers from the school are given free meals for lunch on school days.
In the starting year of 2012, the school supplied free luncheons to 48 students and this year nearly 100, said Tran Thi My Dung, a teacher at the school, which is located in Dong Phu Town in Que Son District.
