Vietnamese vocational students at four local schools will be offered internships at Big C supercenter outlets nationwide in accordance with an MOU the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) signed Wednesday with their operator in Ho Chi Minh City.
This is part of a vocational training cooperation program MoET is working on with the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) – an international organization representing countries and regions where French is a primary or commonly spoken language – and Belgium’s APEFE, an association for the promotion of education and training abroad.
OIF and APEFE will assist MoET in designing training programs in warehouse and supermarket management to be introduced next month at Ho Chi Minh City’s Thu Duc College of Technology and Indochina College, Da Nang Polytechnic College, and Hai Duong College, located in the northern province of Hai Duong.
Big C Vietnam will provide internships as well as some jobs to students enrolled in occupational courses atthese schools under the MOU.
Teachers and professionals from the schools and Big C Vietnam will work together to improve the training programs.
Vietnam hopes to tackle the shortage of skilled workers for the warehouse and supermarket management area via this cooperation with OIF, APEFE, and Big C, Hoang Ngoc Vinh, head of MoET’s professional training division, said at the MOU signing ceremony.
