-- Vietnam has failed to score good result in vocational training as schools can only teach what they know, not what the trainees need, confirmed Bui Sy Loi, deputy chairman of the Social Affairs Committee of the National Assembly.

-- Vietnamese agencies have issued around 45,000 documents which show signs of law violation in the past ten years, according to a report of the Ministry of Justice.

-- Ho Chi Minh City is to probe the views of locals about the new administrative management model, named the metropolitan administration.

-- Vietnam Marine Police has been equipped with three modern patrol ships.

Society:

-- As of September 1, all one-engine hydrofoils will be suspended from operations on the route Ho Chi Minh City – Vung Tau. So, the route will still have the services of 11 two-engine hydrofoils.

-- Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Water Drainage Company gets an annual salary of VND2.6 billion (US$125,000), according to a report on the wrong spending of public welfare.

-- Vietnamese manufacturers have recently been on a rush to export their goods to the Myanmar’s market.

-- VietJet Air will exploit four new domestic routes as of September 20, including HCMC – Hue, Hanoi – Buon Ma Thuot, Hanoi – Hue, and HCMC – Quy Nhon.

-- The total domestic growth of the central Da Nang City in 2012 was VND6.4 trillion (US$307.7 million), VND900 billion of which came from foreign invested companies and almost VND4.9 trillion from taxes and fees.

-- The fictitious action film Lửa Phật of Vietnam will be screened in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, South Korea, India, Pakistan, and Taiwan.

-- Nguyen Xuan Thuy, chairman of the V-League club Cement Xuan Thanh Saigon, is banned from attending football activities for five years in Vietnam after his club decided to withdraw from the top-tier league to protest a disciplinary decision of the Vietnam Football Federation.
