The talented Cambodian-French designer Romyda Keth
Keth was born in Cambodia and settled in France in 1973 with her diplomat family. After studying at Ecole des Beaux Arts de Paris, she entered the Parisian fashion school Esmod. She immersed herself in the Parisian fashion scene, and began showing her creations in a small boutique. Through fashion shows and press interviews she has built a discerning and loyal clientele over the years.
In 1994, she came back to her Cambodian root and followed her passion of working with radiant fabrics such as silk and organza. Keth's first boutique in the heart of Phnom Penh was the start of an international success. Romyda Keth is now presented in shops in Phnom Penh, HCMC, Singapore, Tokyo, Paris, Manila, St Denis de la Reunion, and Mexico City.
In her exclusive collection for Gaya Lifestyle shop (*), many of Keth's key pieces feature, purple, fushia, turquoise this season's most stylish color as seen in Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle and many other international fashion magazines. From deep shades to softer ones in clean lines and simple shapes, her blouses, skirts and dresses are smart and forever fashionable.
The charming and gifted designer also excels in experimenting touches of bohemian colors in her dresses. The unusual combination of striking red and turquoise works so extremely well that you would wonder why nobody thought of it before.
And be prepared to be swept off your feet when you see the enchanting, figure flattering dressing gowns in touch-me fabric.
