Along with the road maintenance fee, the fee on vehicles on National Highway 51 that links the Dong Nai province to Ba Ria-Vung Tau province will increase twofold as of January 1, 2013. The new fee rates will be effective at 0 am that day under Circular 134/2012 by the Finance Ministry, said the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway Corporation (BVEC). The fee will be collected by BVCE firstly at toll station T1 on the highway under supervision from the Vietnam Road General Department and other concerned agencies under the Transport Ministry. However, the fee will not be collected at another toll station, T3, on the highway until this is allowed by the ministry. All the new rates are twice higher than the current rates. As for vehicles with 12-30 seats or 2-4 ton trucks, the respective rates are VND30,000, VND900,000 and VND2.4 million.

The rates per entry, month and quarter for vehicles with 31 seats or more or 4-10 ton trucks are VND44,000, VND1.31 million and VND3.6 million. Similarly, the respective rates for 10-18 ton trucks and 20 feet container trucks are VND80,000, VND2.4 million and VND6.4 million.
