Da Lat plans to become int’l travel center

Authorities of the central highland province of Lam Dong have set up a long-term plan to build Da Lat City to become an international tourism center by 2030, the province’s Party Secretary Huynh Duc Hoa said on Friday.

At the meeting with the General Party Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to review the plan for socio-economic development of the locality, Hoa also revealed that the city has invited a team of French experts to work out city planning for Da Lat till 2030 with a vision to 2050 for the target.

Not only will Da Lat become an international center of tourism, it is also to perform as a center of education and technology transfer.

The central Party leader Trong stressed that Da Lat should also focus on producing high-quality vegetable, preservation of forests and minerals, as well as rural development.

Trong urged the provincial authorities to effectively perform key tasks of economic development, Communist Party build-up, maintaining cultural basis, and protecting the national unity.
