-- U.S. astronaut Neil Armstrong, who took a giant leap for mankind when he became the first person to walk on the moon, has died at the age of 82, his family said on Saturday, according to Reuters.

Society: 

-- Two elephants, one has tusks lost, have been found dead at Yok Don national park in the central highlands province of Dak Lak, Tran Van Thanh, the park’s director, confirmed after receiving reports of their deaths from forest rangers. 

-- As of August 25 evening, the tropical storm no. 6 was located 160 km north-east of Hoang Sa (Spratly islands), packing winds of 89 to 133 km per hour. The storm will move west and southwest at around 10kph, according to the National Hydro-meteorological Forecasting Center.

-- Local experts have urged legal framework for e-commerce to be strengthened to cope with the rapid development of the industry at a recent conference held in Ho Chi Minh City to collect ideas for a new draft decree on e-commerce and the internet.

-- A body was found floating in Ho Xuan Huong Lake in the central highlands city of Da Lat on the early morning of August 25. The victim was later identified as Bui Ngo, 64, a local resident. Investigations are underway.
