Months ago, water had leaked out from dikes of the hydropower plant.

-- Many pregnant women in the central province of Quang Ngai have opted to move to Da Nang City to give birth after several mothers have faced troubles with maternity services in the province.

-- Traffic congestion occurred at ferry station Cat Lai and on national highways leading to Ho Chi Minh City yesterday when thousands of people rode motorbikes back home from their holiday during the National Day festival last weekend.

Business:

-- A 2012 macro-economic report by the UNDP has recently announced that the ‘economic growth of the Vietnamese style’ will create long lasting macro-economic insecurity. The report confirms locals and investors in Vietnam have to bear tax and fee that is from 1.4 to 3 times higher than in other nations.

-- The real estate market in Hanoi has recently come to a standstill and it has failed to attract customers despite the prices of land for house construction were down by 30 – 40 percent.
