Arab man "deported for being too handsome" to visit Vietnam

Friday, August 23, 2013, 11:10 GMT+7

Omar Borkan Al Gala, one of three men expelled from Saudi Arabia in April over fears that their good looks would make them irresistible to women, is expected to attend an event in Vietnam next month.

The undeniably handsome model and actor will take part in an interactive session with Vietnamese fans and attend a charity program at the Military Zone 7 Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City in mid-September as part of an event organized by The Gioi Gia Dinh (Families’ World) magazine.

Recently, Omar Borkan posted a picture of Hoi An’s ancient town at night with a status on his Facebook page saying: “Can you guess where this picture was photographed? I think it will be very interesting when I travel there next month”.

After that, his Facebook page, which has 1.3 million likes, was filled with invites to Vietnam from local women, some of whom promised that he will not be deported again.

In April this year, Omar Borkan and two his handsome friends, all three of whom are from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), were ousted from a festival in Saudi Arabia for being too good looking and acting as a potential distraction to women in the country.
