Vietnam-US friendship concert debuts in Ho Chi Minh City next week

A joint performance from Vietnamese and U.S. artists will be held Monday evening in the southern metropolis.

The Vietnam-US friendship concert is scheduled to take place at 8:00 pm at the Municipal Theater at 7 Cong Truong Lam Son Street in District 1.

Featuring music from the German Baroque and Classical eras, the concert will showcase popular works from world-renowned composers, including Johann Pachelbel, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Ludwig van Beethoven.

Performing at the event will be the HBSO Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Tran Vuong Thach, alongside violinist Bui Cong Duy and the renowned U.S. trio FUGU.

FUGU was formed in 2012 by pianist Ming Tsu, violinist Lorenz Gamma, and cellist Joon Sung Jun.

Their résumé includes an extensive list of gigs at some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls throughout London, Paris, Berlin, and New York.
