Vietnam Television to give news center’s director job transfer

Wednesday, October 05, 2016, 18:40 GMT+7

National Vietnam Television (VTV) on Wednesday said it will give journalist Le Binh, the director of the VTV24 news center, a job transfer.

A source told Tuoi Tre (Youth) Newspaper that the television’s directorate board the same day had a meeting on discussing its decision.

VTV general director Tran Binh Minh also confirmed with Tuoi Tre via text message that journalist Le Binh will be assigned with another job, and no longer be director of the VTV24 news center.

According to him, journalist Le Binh will still be in the management board, and the television station is considering a position which could promote her working ability.

Rumors have also been spread over social networks, saying journalist Le Binh will leave VTV and has her press card revoked.

In response, VTV director Tran Binh Minh completely denied the rumor on the journalist’s press card.

Born in 1973 in the northern province of Ha Nam, Le Binh has been in charge of the “Chuyen Dong 24h” (24h Motion) program broadcasting on VTV1 since October 2014.
