An exhibition on the diversity of Vietnamese culture kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City this week, providing visitors with a wide range of information carefully researched and selected by many historians and scientists.
The organizer said Thursday in a press release that the “Vietnam Through a Lens” exhibit opened on May 28 and will run for free until June 28 at the Museum of Fine Arts at 97A Pho Duc Chinh Street, District 1.
It showcases more than 100 photos selected from an archive that includes over 200,000 negative films of the École française d'Extrême-Orient.
This resource is extremely valuable in terms of Vietnam’s life and culture during the first half of the 20th century.
The exhibition, produced by Paris-Musées, was organized at the Cernuschi Museum in Paris last year, before being held in Hanoi at the French Institute and the National Museum of History between December 2014 and March 2015.
