Vietnam will send five competitors to take part in the 5th WBPF World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championships in Hungary from November 13-17.

The Vietnamese team includes Nguyen Van Lam, Pham Van Mach, Nguyen Anh Thong, and Luong Thi Ngoc Anh.

Mach and Lam are the two best bodybuilders in Vietnam with many gold medals from world and Asian competitions.

Organized at the Gold Hotel Budapest in the capital city, the tournament—sanctioned by the World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation—will attract more than 350 competitors as well as 8,000 spectators.

Over 30 sports competitions will be hosted during the five days.

However, coach Huynh Anh of Vietnam told Tuoi Tre that his athletes are not too concerned with the results of the world event because they are preparing for the 27th Southeast Asian Games to be held next month in Myanmar.

At the upcoming SEA Games, Lam will compete in the men’s 70kg although he is strong in the 65kg, said the coach.
