BBC Knowledge, the channel providing factual programs of BBC Worldwide, has recently been launched on the HTVC cable platform operated by HTV-TMS, a pay-TV company owned by Ho Chi Minh City Television after a ceremony in the city on January 15.
According to Mark Whitehead, Senior Vice President and General Manager of South East Asia for BBC Worldwide, the launch of the channel reflects BBC Worldwide’s ongoing commitment of delivering to audiences a wide range of high-quality, award-winning programs.
Programs including car shows “Top Gear” and “Top Gear Top Fails” which have been watched in more than 100 countries, “Supersized Earth” - a documentary series exploring the ways modern cities are changing the world, and animal show “Man Eating Tigers of Sumatra” are broadcast with Vietnamese voice-over.
Also, HBO has started launching its new Asian movie channel Screened Red on HTVC.
