Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper photojournalist Thuan Thang followed a group of ambassadors to Vietnam during their expedition to the world’s biggest cave Son Doong in north-central Vietnam.

During the trip, the photojournalist captured video of the ambassadors’ trekking and camping during their unforgettable experience and used the footage to create a stunning 2-minute-38-minute clip.

In the montage, picturesque scenes of the cave in Quang Binh Province’s Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park are featured, showing off just a few of the reasons Swedish Ambassador Camilla Mellander referred to the cave system as one of the most beautiful places in the world.

The expedition was joined by ambassadors from the Czech Republic, Argentina, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Australia, and was held from May 11 to 17 using each ambassador’s personal funds to make their “dream come true,” as Ambassador from the Czech Republic Martin Klepetko said at a meeting with the People’s Committee of Quang Binh last month.

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Tom Malinowski, Secretary-General of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO Pham Sanh Chau, Miss Universe Vietnam 2008 runner-up Duong Truong Thien Ly, and entrepreneur Dinh Minh also partook in the trip.

The 5-day-4-night expedition was part of a campaign to help promote Vietnamese tourism and Son Doong Cave to the world.
