Viet Nam will host the fourth annual Indochina Literary Conference, attracting more than 100 writers from three countries in the region including Viet Nam, Laos and Cambodia.
The annual conference will take place tomorrow at Furama Resort, in the central city of Da Nang, with representatives from Myanmar, India, China and Thailand participating as observers. The Mekong River Literary Prize will also be granted for top works and contributions to literary development in the region.
According to Nguyen Huu Thinh, chairman of the Viet Nam Writers' Association, and organiser of the event, the conference will help to promote literary works and diverse cultures and stimulate innovation in the greater sub-Mekong region.
