As previously reported, the powerful typhoon slammed the Philippines on November 8 and caused very serious consequences both in life and property. According to the latest estimates, the death toll in the disaster may be up to 10,000 and the number of displaced people may amount to 600,000. “My feeling is that storm victims in the Philippines are starved of everything, from food to clean water and other essential items. Donations given by Tuoi Tre’s readers and others nationwide to those victims right now will help them survive the most difficult period after the storm,” Thai said.
