Premier keen on promoting ties with RoK

Given that their similarities and great cooperation potential, Vietnam and the RoK should further strengthen their cooperation to support each other during their process of development, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said.  The PM made the statement at a reception on September 5 in Hanoi for the newly accredited Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (RoK) to Vietnam, Jun Dea Joo, in Hanoi on September 5.

The PM expressed his pleasure at the fruitful outcomes of the Vietnam-RoK strategic partnership and suggested that the two countries intensify cooperation in the fields of business, trade, investment, education, training, labor, science and technology.

He said he hoped the RoK will grant more Official Development Assistance (ODA) to Vietnam to help the country build infrastructure. He also asked the RoK to create more favorable conditions for Vietnamese agricultural products to penetrate the Korean market. The PM pledged that the Vietnamese Government will create favorable conditions for Ambassador Jun Dae Joo to fulfill his new mission in Vietnam.

In reply, the ambassador said his country always highly values it relations with Vietnam and promised that he will make every possible effort to boost ties between the two countries, especially in the potential fields of infrastructure, energy and supporting industries. The upcoming visit of President Park Geun-hye to Vietnam reveals the RoK’s efforts in expanding the comprehensive cooperation relations between the two countries, he added.
