Well-known South Korean actor Lee Ki-woo is going to Hanoi as the promotional ambassador for the second South Korean Film Festival in Vietnam, to be held in the city from September 6 to 11.
The artist, who plans to be in Hanoi from September 5 to 8, said he hopes to boost cultural exchange between the two countries and bring Korean cinematography closer to Vietnamese audiences.
Lee is best known for his roles in movies including The Classic, Tale of Cinema, A Love to Kill and Flower Boy Ramyun Shop.
Actress Ngo Thanh Van will also join the Korean artist as the event’s ambassador.
The festival will showcase nine Korean movies, including Fist of Legend, Deranged, A Wedding Invitation, Dancing Queen, A Werewolf Boy, The Gifted Hands, Tower, and Killer Toon and Pororo: The Racing Adventure at MegaStar Vincom Center at 191 Ba Trieu Street, Hai Ba Trung District.
Tickets for Pororo: The Racing Adventure will not be sold, since the movie will be screened for free for participants of “Chung ta lam phim” (We are filmmakers), launched by the Centre for Assistance and Development of Movie Talents under the Vietnam Cinema Association.
