According to the Southern Hydrometeorology Station, the temperature in the city has reached almost 37 degrees Celsius in the last two days.

It has been nearly 38 degrees Celsius in other nearby provinces like Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Binh Phuoc.

This is the hottest spell in the south of Vietnam so far this dry season, lasting from November to April annually.

In Mekong Delta provinces, the temperature has been slightly lower, ranging from 33 to 34 degrees Celsius on average, with some even reaching 36 degrees Celsius.

Adding to the high temperatures is the low amount of moisture in the atmosphere and the long range of intense sunlight in a day, often from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Some localities may experience brief showers as a result of the evaporation of water due to high temperatures.
