Tourism authorities in Lam Dong Province, Vietnam’s Central Highlands, have plans to trial a tour around Da Lat City on open-top double-decker buses.

As part of the trial run, three 37-seat buses will operate from December 18 to December 31 to serve tourists who seek to explore Da Lat in a different way, the People’s Committee of Lam Dong Province said on Monday.

The day route will be operational from 8:00 am to 10:00 am and from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The night route, meanwhile, will be open from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Tourists will be able to hop on and off the open-top double-decker buses at multiple stops across the city center, namely Hang Nga Crazy House on Huynh Thuc Khang Street, Bao Dai Summer Palace on Trieu Viet Vuong Street, Bao Dai Palace 1 on Tran Quang Dieu Street, and Da Lat Flower Park on Tran Nhan Tong Street, and along such streets as Nguyen Van Cu, Tran Quoc Toan, Hung Vuong, Nguyen Trai.

A division of Vietnamtourism-Hanoi JSC located in Da Lat City will serve as the implementing unit.

After the pilot phase, a review will be conducted before the service is officially launched.

A similar bus service debuted in Hanoi in July 2017 before being introduced in other popular travel destinations like Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Long, and Nha Trang.
