A sleeper bus carrying 34 passengers suddenly caught fire in the rear when it was traveling on an expressway in southern Vietnam on Thursday, with no one being hurt in the incident.

Police said on Thursday afternoon that they were investigating the cause of the fire that broke out at around 11:00 am the same day on the Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway section passing through Tan Phu Commune in Cai Lay Town, Tien Giang Province.

Right after detecting the fire, the bus driver immediately stopped the vehicle and evacuated the 34 passengers from it before joining local inhabitants in putting out the blaze but they failed.
