A container truck burst into flames on Friday morning while traveling on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway in southern Vietnam.
Traffic police are teaming up with relevant agencies to investigate the cause of the incident.
The fire occurred at 6:40 am when the truck, driven by N.V.T., a 30-year-old resident of Bac Ninh Province, northern Vietnam was heading toward Dong Nai Province from Ho Chi Minh City.
Smoke began rising from the truck’s front end about 200 kilometers after it had passed through the Long Phuoc Tollgate.
The driver quickly stopped the vehicle and found that it was on fire.
He shouted out for help, and tried to put the flames out in vain.
The fire quickly engulfed and destroyed the truck’s front end.
