-- Vietnamese Acting State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan on Wednesday sent a message of congratulations to Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad on the Syrian Arab Republic’s 78th Independence Day (April 17, 1946 – 2024), reported the Vietnam News Agency.

-- Incoming remittances to Ho Chi Minh City in the first quarter this year reached $2.9 billion, up over 35 percent year on year, the highest growth rate in three years, said Nguyen Duc Lenh, deputy director of the State Bank of Vietnam’s (SBV) branch in the southern metropolis.
