Politic:
- An exchange program titled “Meeting between Vietnam and Japan” will be organized in Tokyo and Fukuoka from September 13 to 19 as part of activities to mark the 40th anniversary of the relation between the two countries. The event will include art programs and business conferences.
Lifestyle:
- A conference gathering around 100 writers from the Indochina countries will take place from the central city of Da nang from September 10 to 14. This is the second time Vietnam has been the host of the annual conference.
- Ngu Nhue village’s hall in the northern province of Hung Yen recently discovered being illegally dismantled to be replaced by a new one. Local authorities have suspended the construction to protect the national relic.
Society:
- Around 15,000 cobia fishes in the coastal city of Vung Tau have recently died in mass on September 9. The death was caused by water pollution.
- Bui Thanh Liem, chairman of the Hanoi Transport Association on September 9 has proposed Hanoi People’s Committee to approve for using tuk tuk to limit the number of motorcycles traveling in the city and ease the traffic jam.
- Hundreds of local residents have kept flocking to the sea of Chau Thuan village in the central city of Quang Ngai to salvage antiques after a number of antiques have recently been found from an ancient ship sunk at the area. The spontaneous act have damaged many antiques.
Business:
- The Brazil’s Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade has officially initiated an anti-dumping investigation into Vietnam’s bicycle tires imported to the country by the Industrial Levorin S.A. company, said the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
- The Vietnam Food Association has announced that it had signed to export nearly 7million tons of rice until this August, 13.4% increasing compared with the same period last year.
