An exhibition featuring works participating in ‘Saigon Makeover,’ a graphic design contest dedicated to innovative ideas on how to beautify Ho Chi Minh City, will be organized in the southern city on Sunday.

More than 150 artworks will be showcased at 6:00 pm at Saigon Ranger at 57 Nguyen Sieu Street, District 1.

In addition to displaying the contest’s entries, the exhibit will also have talks attended by the contenders as well as music, graffiti, and visual art performances.

Launched in June by the Global Shapers Ho Chi Minh City Hub, an initiative by the World Economic Forum to develop a network of hubs led by exceptional young leaders driven to contribute to their communities, the ‘Saigon Makeover’ competition allows contestants to choose any spot in the city and give it a revamp of their own design.

According to the organizer, the contest offers young people the opportunity to contribute their fresh outlooks on the cityscape and inspire the public.

The winner will receive VND10 million (US$471) and the runner-up will be awarded VND5 million ($235).
