The exhibit showcasing works of the 2013 Vietnamese Heritage photo competition is running in Ho Chi Minh City until Nov 18 before moving on to other provinces across the country.
The 100 photos showcased at the exhibit, which is going on at Independence Palace, 135 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, district 1, highlights the country’s culture, customs and natural heritage.
The photos, which depict festive hues such as Dong Ky firecracker, Lim and Ramuwan Festivals as well as breathtaking scenic spots, are picked from the works contending at the competition.
Launched from June 15 to Sept 15 and jointly put on by HCMC Heritage Association and Vietnam Heritage magazine, the competition attracted 3,793 single photos and 267 photo collections from 339 authors nationwide.
The exhibit was earlier held in Hanoi, Can Tho, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet and Vung Tau cities. After HCMC, the exhibit will be taken to Hue, Bac Lieu, An Giang and Quang Binh provinces.
The awarding ceremony is set to take place at Rex Hotel in HCMC on Nov 21.
