The 10th session of the 13th National Assembly Standing Committee opened in Hanoi on August 13 under the chair of NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.
In his opening speech, Chairman Hung highly valued relevant agencies’ preparation of contents for discussion at the session.
He said that the committee will make comments on bills on prevention and mitigation of natural disasters, cooperatives, reconciliation at local level, and the capital city.
The lawmakers will also give their opinions on changes to the joint resolution of the 11th National Assembly’s Standing Committee and the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front that provides guidelines on NA deputies’ meeting with voters, he added.
According to the Chairman, the Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, and the Chief Government Inspector, will be queried on matters relating to the handling of complaints and bad debts.
Amendments and supplements to the 1992 Constitution are also on the agenda.
