Vietnam and China have enjoyed a traditional and friendly relationship, and Vietnam will try its best, together with China, to further develop the bilateral cooperation for the benefit of both nations, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said. The Prime Minister made the statement when receiving the visiting Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Ho Hau Wah, in Hanoi on May 3.
The Chinese official's working visit was a practical contribution to the two countries’ comprehensive cooperation, Dung said.
Dung told his guest that the two countries should continue facilitating economic, trade and investment activities between their businesses.
He also asked the Chinese authorities to further give favorable conditions to the Vietnamese community in China.
Ho, who is former head of the Macau Special Administrative Region, said China highly values its ties with Vietnam and that the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Vietnam has brought practical benefits for both countries.
He said he highly appreciated Vietnam’s achievements in socio-economic development and national construction.
He also said his visit aims to further promote the friendship between the two nations, as well as bilateral ties in economics, trade and investment.
The same day, Ho was also welcomed by President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Huynh Dam.
