Dalat Edensee, the first resort in Tuyen Lam lake area and which represents a first-class destination combining breathtaking surroundings, personalized service and spacious sanctuaries of peace and quiet, has recently added another environmental award to its accolade: the “Green Lotus” award by The Guide and Vietnam Economic Times.

In the Certificate of Excellence presented to Edensee at the award ceremony, Dalat Edensee is recognised for its “Magnificent location offering the most spectacular natural setting in Dalat”. In addition, it has received the “Green Lotus” award for meeting the set of criteria by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with regards to sustainable tourism.

The “Green Lotus” label that Edensee receives “is granted to tourism accommodation which meet standards on environmental protection and sustainable development, making efforts to protect the environment, use natural resources and energy efficiently, contribute to preservation of heritage and development of the local economy, culture and society, and pursue sustainable tourism development”, according to the Ministry official website.

Nestled in the heart of the magnificent “Black Forest of Vietnam”, 1500 m above the sea, Dalat Edensee is the perfect starting point for trips to highland regions and is a hidden gem of Vietnamese luxury resorts. Elegantly appointed rooms and villas give guests their own little piece of paradise, with sweeping views over the pine forest, gently undulating mountains, or the emerald water of Tuyen Lam lake.

Edensee’s architecture is the brainchild of its owner, Tieu Nhu Phuong who is an Overseas Vietnamese engineer from Germany and architect Khuong Van Muoi, chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Architects Association and a widely-respected figure among Vietnamese architect community and. Together they have created a traditional European-style village nestling among the hills and forest of the highland, complete from the exterior aspects of each villa and building to the smallest details of the crystal drops on the sparkling chandeliers. The result is a harmonious image of a resort that merges effortlessly and elegantly into its natural surroundings.

In one of his recent interviews with the Saigon Times Daily, Edensee’s architect Khuong Van Muoi has aptly put it, “a new period of property investment is taking shape, in which several projects stand out with their living space, green space, eco-friendliness and water.”

The collaboration with Edensee is testament to the commitment and dedication to green architecture by two close friends, Mr. Phuong and Mr. Muoi.  Not only have they created an exquisite resort with timeless sophistication and elegance in the ultimate romantic location, they have given it their own take on sustainable development, making sure luxury should not cost the earth, literally. And the Green Lotus award has recognised just that.
