Construction workers building a surrounding wall for the Ba temple at Hong Linh Town in the northern province of Ha Tinh have recently discovered 12 ancient ceramic vases in a variety of sizes, designs and colors.

According to local experts, initial research shows that the antiques were left over from the time of the Tran, Le and Mac dynasties.

The Tran Dynasty ruled Vietnam from 1225 to 1400, the Le Dynasty reigned the country from 1428 to 1788, while the Mac Dynasty lasted from 1527 to 1592.

In related news, two walls dating back to the 8th century have recently also been found at the Po Dam temple complex of the Cham people in the central province of Binh Thuan.

The discovered walls, each 1.9m in height, are thought to be part of the stair leading to the tower. Right after the walls were discovered, the Binh Thuan Museum suspended the restoration work and joined with the Vietnam Archaeology Institute to conduct research on the walls.
