Ltd., a controversial paper mill operated by a subsidiary of Hong Kong's Lee & Man Paper. The paper making complex in the southern Vietnamese province of Hau Giang has sparked worries over the possible dangers it poses to the local environment, particularly the Hau River, one of the most important waterways in the region.Business -- After ranking behind rice produced in Thailand, India and even Cambodia for years, several varieties of high-quality Vietnamese rice have been well sought after in foreign luxury markets since early this year. -- Experts have observed that local ornamental fish farming businesses have yet to tap into the thriving domestic market while grappling to export their animals to other countries.Lifestyle -- Howard Limbert, who led a group of cave experts from the British Cave Research Association, has told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper following the discovery announced on Wednesday of 57 new caves in the UNESCO-recognized Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park that the team will carry more expeditions for new caves in 2017 instead of doing so on a biennial basis as before. The park, secluded in the north-central province of Quang Binh, houses one of the world’s two largest karst regions and the largest cave system known to date – Son Doong. -- The People’s Committee of the central city of Da Nang has tasked local realty developer Sun Group with organizing the signature Da Nang International Fireworks Competition each year, starting 2017. The new edition will feature more highlights compared to its original, which was held every two years.
